Today is February 1st, and in the world of many, that means over the past week or so you've probably started to receive your W2's, 1099's, and all the other paperwork goodness that goes along with Tax preparation.

While I'm definitely not an accountant, one thing that is often forgotten in the world of Name, Image, and Likeness monetization is the tax implications of these deals.

Compliance comes in a lot of ways, and while most are worried about ensuring they are staying compliant with the NIL rules of the state athletic association, they also must consider the broader "business" compliance that goes along with it.
